This past Saturday I decided to take along Shiori in my backpack while I went ravine hiking in an attempt to find her some nice scenery instead of shooting indoors. You know, a change of pace is nice sometime. Little did I realize that the passing overhead clouds would play havoc with my camera, thus for every photo I had to fiddle with the settings. Trying to run on auto always made the flash want to go off and mess up everything. >_< I was also trying to avoid clogging up the trail for other hikers, so I was somewhat doing gorilla photos. I would find a nice spot, listen for other hikers, whip her out of my pack in an attempt at quick setup and grab a few shots before whisking her back in (usually to the sound of others approaching). I took many many photo's, but alas only a handful really turned out. Many of them turned out to be overexposed, so needless to say I will be trying to work on that in the future.
This was a more open area at a joining of trails, so I really surprised a couple ladies who wandered by. They chatted a bit all smiles before wandering off, wanting to know if Shiori goes on all my hikes with me. heh
We found a little waterfall to take a rest next to, which was much appreciated at this point!
