Happy Tanabata everyone! Did you write your wish yet? Rose really wanted to celebrate, seeing as she didn't make it to the last festival gathering in our area. She has a new yakata and you know how dolls always want to show off their latest clothing escapade. 😉
She is wearing her usual long pink wig of late, but I have just styled it up onto her head for a more formal look.
No, I don't mean Alex. 😉 But I do mean his new Harley 'Fat Boy' motorcycle! I've been anxiously awaiting it and was doing the 'happy dance' when it arrived in today's post. Wow was it a large box! I mean, I knew it was going to be pretty sizeable, but by the time you add padding it really pushes the size up there. Alex couldn't stay away, but sadly they can't really go for a ride just yet. It's been raining here for a few days and plans to for a few days more, so their adventures may have to wait a little bit.
I took Jin out for loads of photo's over the past two days, but they are actually a few different mood feeling sets so I'm going to break them up. First here are some casual studio feeling photos; I almost feel like I should make them into an ad for a clothing company. XD
The local Pullip group doesn't get together for meetups often, but when we do it's an awfully lot of fun! We usually hit up a favorite tea shop of everyone's, chat and then take loads of photo's outside if we can. This time around was no exception. A lot of cuties managed to make an appearance this time around. First up it's this adorable Isul! I really wanted to tuck him into my pocket and bring him home, love his style so much. The jeans and shoes were just killing me with their cuteness. This other cutie really grabbed my attention! Continue reading
It has been absolutely ages since I have sewn for my Pullips but I've decided to take a deep breath and get back into the swing of things. It is Spring after all and my girls can't keep wearing the same old things year round. 😉 I have been seeing so many beautiful photo's of cherry blossoms that when I was digging through my fabric stash and found this green fabric with blossoms, I just knew I had to make a dress from it. I think I originally bought it to make a furoshiki for one of my bento boxes, but the fabric scrap turned out to be too small for my needs. 🙁 It has been either raining or foggy lately but yesterday had a rare moment of sun! So I grabbed Shuko and dashed to the backyard for these few snaps. Continue reading
Just finished up sewing a new dress for Hana to wear to this weekends Dollfie Dream meetup. ^_^ This design is a bit different from what I've normally made, with it's scooped neckline and collar detail, plus a coordinating belt. I'm really enjoying how different this looks from the usual jumper and hope I can work on some new versions in the not too distant future for my other girls.
I decided to take my Pullip girl Shuko out along with me over the weekend. We drove along the coast and stopped at a quiet cafe for some coffee. It was a really bright and windy day, but I was quiet thankful for all of the sun since it's been raining somewhat regularly of late. While having coffee at the cafe she decided to have a seat on the window sill. Next up we went for a walk on a little raised area next to the ocean. It's one of the funny area's where the beach sand is actually black. Continue reading
I've been sewing a lot of hair accessories for my Etsy shop lately and I have been meaning to share them here. I always announce shop postings on twitter if you would like to stay posted but don't follow me there. First up is the Dahlia beaded hair clip. It's made from super soft white and red cotton fabric and is decorated with dainty faux pearls, silver toned seed beads and white seed beads. A hair clip is sewn to the back for attaching it to your dolls hair. This lovely hair ornament is approximately 2.25" x 1" in size. The Delia hair clip is made from super soft white cotton fabric with lace edging and topped off with three dainty faux pearls. Streamers of lace and tiny beads cascade from the bottom giving it a light and airy feel. A hair clip is sewn to the back for attaching it to your dolls hair. This lovely hair ornament is approximately 1.25" x 3". Continue reading
I just finished placing a new Dollfie Dream mini dress up in my Etsy shop. See the listing When sewing this dress my inspiring moments thought was: "Does your girl want to be a singing idol? Maybe she wants to go on a date?" Help her live her dreams with this feminine strapless mini dress. From the red top featuring a large white bow accented with sparkling beads, to the skirt with polka dots and lace; she will look gorgeous no matter the occasion. Top section is fully lined in white and the dress closes in the back with two metal snaps. All fabric has been washed to remove as much dye as possible. My test doll has been wearing this fabric with no stains, but please do not leave the clothing on for long periods of time without checking! Continue reading
I took Ion hiking with friends up on the mountain over the weekend. We had a picnic, took loads of photo's and enjoyed the views from all around. After a rainy mid week the day turned out glorious for which I was very glad. I had such a wonderful time, I'm definitely looking forward to when we can adventure out again. Continue reading
